CareerSeeker is a program that runs on your own Windows PC and takes the busywork out of a job search: it finds roles that fit, looks into the company, and writes a first draft of your resume and cover letter from your real experience. You read every draft before anything goes anywhere — it can prepare your case, but only you can make it official.

From opportunity to application
CareerSeeker watches public job postings on supported applicant tracking systems (ATS) — Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby among them — and ranks new openings against your experience and preferences, so your time goes to the roles that actually deserve it.
It researches the employer and drafts tailored materials from your profile, then checks every generated claim against your real experience — the Fabrication Gate blocks anything it can’t back up.
Read the draft, make it yours, and decide what to send. Connect Gmail and finished drafts wait in your drafts folder — never your outbox.
How this is different
Sites like ZipRecruiter and LinkedIn are marketplaces: you build a public profile, recruiters browse it, and a lot of “apply” buttons send the same resume to every posting in sight. Their paying customer is the employer side. CareerSeeker flips that around. It’s a private agent that runs on your own computer, works only for you, and tailors each application instead of mass-producing them.

AI providers see the relevant text once you connect one. Gmail receives drafts when you connect it. Nothing goes anywhere you didn’t set up, and the final review is always yours.

No — and that’s deliberate. The beta prepares your materials and, if you connect Gmail, leaves finished drafts in your drafts folder. Sending isn’t built into the app at all. You read, edit, and hit send yourself.
Your profile and documents are stored on your PC. When you connect an AI provider, the relevant text — profile facts, job postings, research, generated drafts — goes to the provider you configured. Connect Gmail and draft content goes to Google. See exactly where your data goes.
The app itself is free. Drafting and claim checks run on your own AI provider account and API key, so any usage is billed by that provider at their rates. Many providers offer free allowances, but those are their terms, not ours — check pricing before you connect.
Yes. Gmail is optional and only powers reviewable email drafts. Without it you still get job discovery, ranking, employer research, and prepared materials. During the beta, Google may require us to approve your account as a tester first.
Yes, for Android. The companion dashboard pairs with your own Windows engine — scan a QR code, confirm a six-digit number — and you get a read-only view of your recent applications, top job matches, and whether your audit trail is intact, synced with end-to-end encryption. It has no send, compose or submit. It’s an early alpha, so expect rough edges, and it needs Windows beta 0.7.3 or later running on your PC with Phone updates switched on. Get it from the download page with the same access code as Windows. iPhone is still in development and macOS is planned.
A little setup, a few rough edges, and features that will keep improving. Review your profile and every draft, double-check listings with the employer, and tell us when something confuses you — that feedback is exactly what the beta is for.
