Separate provider costs

You pay your AI provider directly.

Bring your own API key. Usage is charged under your provider’s rates, quotas, and terms — CareerSeeker doesn’t sit in the middle of that bill.

Check your provider’s API pricing before you start. Free allowances exist, but they’re the provider’s to offer and change.

One honest footnote: uninstalling CareerSeeker doesn’t cancel a provider subscription or erase charges you already ran up. That account is yours.

What about other platforms?

The Android alpha is free, same as Windows — no separate purchase, no in-app charges, just the tester access code. iPhone is still in development and macOS is planned; we’ll list real dates here when we have them.

Before you connect a provider

Do I need to pay for an AI provider?

The app itself is free. Drafting and claim checks run on your own AI provider account and API key, so any usage is billed by that provider at their rates. Many providers offer free allowances, but those are their terms, not ours — check pricing before you connect.

Will running locally avoid AI provider charges?

No. Claim checks always use your AI provider’s cloud service, so drafting can incur usage charges even though your working records stay on your PC.

Can I use it without Gmail?

Yes. Gmail is optional and only powers reviewable email drafts. Without it you still get job discovery, ranking, employer research, and prepared materials. During the beta, Google may require us to approve your account as a tester first.
