Terms

The terms for
the free beta.

Plain-language terms for using CareerSeeker while it’s a free beta. They’re an agreement between you and Applied Autonomy LLC.

Effective October 17, 2026

1. Who provides CareerSeeker

CareerSeeker is provided by Applied Autonomy LLC, a Colorado limited liability company at 4290 Brighton Blvd, Denver, CO 80216 (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and Applied Autonomy LLC. By downloading or using CareerSeeker you agree to them.

2. What CareerSeeker is

CareerSeeker is a free beta: early-access software that runs on your Windows PC to find job postings, rank them against your profile and prepare application materials for you to review, with an optional Android companion app. It is unfinished, it changes often, and it can make mistakes. It does not promise interviews, offers or any job outcome.

3. Who can use it

You must be at least 16, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live. You use your own Windows PC and, if you choose, your own Google account and your own AI provider account and key. Only give CareerSeeker information you have the right to use.

4. Using it fairly

Use CareerSeeker for your own job search. Don’t use it to misrepresent yourself: it checks the claims it drafts against your profile, but you are responsible for every word you send. Don’t use it to collect job postings beyond what the app itself does, to get around a site’s limits, or to attack, probe or overload our services or anyone else’s. Keep your access code to yourself, and follow the terms of the services you connect.

5. You decide what gets sent

CareerSeeker prepares drafts. The Windows app has no code that sends email or submits applications; with Gmail connected it creates drafts in your account, and you choose whether to send them. You are responsible for anything you send.

6. Your data

Your profile, records and documents stay on your PC; we don’t claim any ownership of them. The privacy policy explains what leaves your PC, where it goes and how to delete it. In Beta 0.7.6 and earlier, uninstalling or resetting the Windows app deletes its local workspace, so update by installing over the old version. Beta 0.7.7 keeps the workspace in %LOCALAPPDATA%\CareerSeeker, which uninstalling leaves alone; see Support.

7. Services you connect

Google, your AI provider and the applicant tracking systems CareerSeeker reads are run by other companies under their own terms. Your AI provider bills you directly for what CareerSeeker asks it to do. We are not responsible for those services or their charges.

8. Open-source and third-party notices

CareerSeeker and this website use open-source components, including the typefaces listed on Licenses, under their own licences.

9. No warranty

CareerSeeker is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose. Review every draft before you send it.

10. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Applied Autonomy LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost opportunities, profits or data, arising from your use of CareerSeeker. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for CareerSeeker in the twelve months before the claim, which during the free beta is zero. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

11. Ending use

You can stop using CareerSeeker at any time. We may end the beta, or your access to it, for example if these terms are broken; where we can, we’ll give notice. Sections 5 to 13 still apply after use ends.

12. Changes to these terms

We’ll post changes here with a new effective date. If a change matters, we’ll also say so in the app or by email before it takes effect. Using CareerSeeker after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Denver, Colorado, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.
